The mayor assures that they will also invest in technology to monitor the city – El Heraldo de Juárez

The city government will invest in technology that, together with the measures taken by the state, will make Juarenses safer, said the city’s president, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, at the start of the pre-operational phase of the second trunk road.

He stressed that the greatest strength there is is based on the excellent coordination between the three levels of government and the results are already visible.

“We are delighted to have this support from the state government, from the governor, for this decision and this determination to continue to work together and as a team on security issues and to have the Secretary of State for Public Safety installed here is excellent news, we will continue this line of coordination and joint work,” said the mayor.

He explained that the city government is doing the same in this sense, so this year they have already budgeted to invest more in technology and in the acquisition of public safety units.

Referring to the Sentinel Tower announced Tuesday by the governor, she said the decision to move police forces to that border was a good one, adding that what the community is doing there with support from the federal government and the National Guard are positive results reducing homicides.

“We are making good progress and are continuing on the right path,” said President Pérez Cuéllar.
