Designed for a family of four, this residence has a large roof and two large communal spaces. It includes a kitchen/dining room area, a full bathroom and a laundry room. The size and shape of the site gave the architects the opportunity to include a lot of these functions in there. This way there’s a strong relationship between the house and the surrounding landscape. The house has a rectangular floor plan, two floors spread over 500 square meters in size and close to the beach, in spite of its small stature. The building sits on the slope which provides the best views. The site on which the house was built has a slope which is difficult to estimate, especially when you don’t have a direct view of it. An external staircase leads up to a lower level which is accessible via a private deck. The social spaces are placed in the one with the sunroom and the garage. The house has a flat roof, white walls, white oak parquet flooring and white aluminum window frames. The upper level houses the bedrooms placed above the garage area.
The rooms and the living spaces are positioned in between the gardens. The kitchen is small and occupies zero space, although it shares an open plan with the dining room and the living area. The size of the kitchen is rather small and thus flexible in terms of layout. The cooking area can be closed with sliding doors for a more flexible and flexible experience. A rear deck is used here to accommodate the semi-closed garage and laundry room. The garage doors simply slide into the structure and can be opened. It’s a great idea for a dynamic and dynamic experience. There’s also a similar approach used on the upper level. The internal courtyard is an introverted and serene one, an area which pivots on the highest point and allows a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces. .
