Science in Bolívar: Young Bolivarians developed 21 scientific and technological prototypes | Cartagena

The creativity and ingenuity of the Bolivarian people was shown to its full extent in the process that took two years to develop with the #WeavingKnowledge project. through which it has been possible to activate and strengthen the scientific, technological and innovative capacities of communities throughout Bolívar.

#WeavingKnowledge is a project led by the University of Cartagena in partnership with the Bolívar government and funded with resources from General Royalty System of Science, Technology and Innovation Fund, and its main objective is to increase capacity in science, technology and innovation through the societal appropriation of knowledge in the field, through the co-creation of solutions by different societal groups and research groups.

There will be incentives for schools and teachers to register intercollegiates

A total of 78 innovative proposals were presented as solutions to various local problems in the Bolivarian communities. of which 21 prototypes were selected in the 6 zones of the Department of Funding and Implementation.

These 21 selected prototypes have been presented since April 6 as part of the so-called Route for Science and Innovation of Bolívar 2022 in a tour that started and continued in Santa Rosa del Sur San Martín de Loba, Mompox, Achí, Carmen de Bolívar, San Juan Nepomuceno and will end on Friday 22nd at the Ecosibar farm in San Jacinto and on April 23rd in the town of Turbaco.

According to #WeavingKnowledge project leader Marisol Benavides, this process, which began in 2020 amid a pandemic, It has strengthened the scientific, technological and innovative capacities of the common people of the department of Bolívar.
